OUR LOSS AND CONDOLENCES: PROFESSOR OMER ERCAN ATAER

A memorial ceremony at our Faculty Academy Hall was organized for Prof. Omer Ercan ATAER, our valued department member who lost his life due to a heart attack on Otober 17th 2009. His famiy, our department academic staff, his students and faculty staff participated the ceremony.

After his Resume being read by his own thesis student Research Assistant Muhittin BILGILI, a selection of his photo album was presented. His son, Suleyman Kaancan ATAER, also an undergraduate student at our Department made a speech. Following him, our Department Administrator Prof. Senol BASKAYA made a speech. We wish our beloved teacher rest in peace and our deepest condolences and forbearance to his family. (October 2009)
