According to our University's 2023-2024 Academic Year Academic Calendar, the 'Course Withdrawal with Advisor Approval' will be made on May 10, 2024, and excuses will not be accepted for course withdrawal applications which are not made on this date.

Our students must apply to our Faculty Communication Unit with a Course Withdrawal Petition. Additionally, students are required to notify their advisors of their request to withdraw from the course. For additional information:

It is extremely important to pay attention to the following points during the application process, which will be carried out together with your advisor:

1. You can withdraw from a maximum of one (1) course in a semester.
2. The student may withdraw from a maximum of six (6) courses throughout his/her undergraduate education.
3. If the course load taken by the student during the active period is 30 ECTS or less, the student is not allowed to withdraw from any course.
4. Withdrawal cannot be made from courses in the first two semesters of the curriculum.
5. For a course that has been withdrawn once, a second withdrawal cannot be made in subsequent semesters. In other words, the course from which the withdrawal is made must be a course taken for the first time.
6. Withdrawal cannot be made from courses that do not any have credits.

GAZİ UNIVERSITY REGULATION FOR ASSOCIATE AND UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION-TRAINING AND EXAMINATION

CLAUSE 10-(11) A student may withdraw from a course that he/she has not repeated and has taken for the first time. Course withdrawal is made within the tenth week of the semester. You can withdraw from a maximum of one course in a semester. You can withdraw from a maximum of six courses throughout your education. Withdrawal cannot be made from courses in the first two semesters of the curriculum, repeated courses, previously withdrawn courses, or non-credit courses. Students who take courses equal to or less than the required course credits in a semester are not allowed to withdraw from the course.
